Marshall Willis, Scoutmaster
Marshall has been involved in Scouting since 1998 when his second oldest son, John, started Cub Scouts. From 2003- 2007 he served as a Committee Member for Troop 114. From 2007- 2008 he served as an Assistant Scoutmaster. Marshall is also a graduate of the University of West Florida and a Certified Public Accountant. He works for the Florida Public Service Commission as an Assistant Director, involved in the regulation of investor owned electric, gas and water utilities. Marshall enjoys spending time with his family, camping, hiking and the great outdoors. He also enjoys exercise and reading.
David Sims, Assistant Scoutmaster
Dave has been involved in Scouting since 1997 when his oldest son started as a Tiger Cub. During that time he has served as a Den Leader, Assistant Cub master and Cub master for Pack 38 and Scoutmaster for our Troop. Dave is also a graduate of Florida State University and is a police officer with the Tallahassee Police Department since 1987. He has taught the D.A.R. E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program in both public and private schools. He is a certified first responder to medical emergencies. Dave’s hobbies include coaching sports, exercise and reading.
Robert Mixon, Assistant Scoutmaster, Training Coordinator
Robert has been involved with Scouting for many years. He was active in his son, Robert’s Cub Scout Pack. He is also an experienced trainer with the Boy Scout organization and brings a wealth of knowledge to our Troop. He continually updates his skills with further Boy Scout leader training. Robert works as a State Corrections Officer and enjoys being outdoors.
Brian Dougherty, Assistant Scoutmaster, Quartermaster
Brian has been very active in Troop 114 since his son Chris joined. He has frequently chaperoned camping trips and summer camps including Camp Lumpkin and Sea Base. Last year he taught merit badge classes including Environmental Science. His love for outdoor activities is evident and he can be relied on during the Christmas Tree sale to do whatever needs to be done.
Jeff King, Assistant Scoutmaster, Outdoor Activities Coordinator
Jeff was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout as a child in Oklahoma and Texas. He has enjoyed camping, fishing and other activities all his life. His son Aaron is a Boy Scout, his daughter Lindsey is a Girl Scout and his wife, Mikki is the Girl Scout Troop leader. Jeff has been in the jewelry and coin business for most of his life. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, photography, and selling collectibles on eBay.
Cyndy Loomis, Assistant Scoutmaster
Cyndy has been involved with scouting as a parent since her son, John, was a tiger cub. John is now a 1st Class Scout with Troop 114. Cyndy is the Chief Operating Officer at Information Systems of Florida, a local information technology firm. Her hobbies include reading and traveling in the US and abroad. As assistant scoutmaster, Cyndy specializes in working with the new Scouts joining Troop 114 to ensure a smooth transition from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts.
Kevin Jacques, Assistant Scoutmaster
Kevin is one of the Troop’s newest Eagle Scouts. He received this award last spring. Kevin has been in scouting since first grade. He has been active in the Troop in various leadership positions. He enjoys the outdoor activities of Boy Scouts and enjoyed Philmont High Adventure Camp so much he went twice. He graduated from Chiles High School last year. Kevin is fortunate to have combined one of his interests in life, cars, with his career. He is presently an automotive technician at AutoCare Services. His other interests include mud-bogging, music, backpacking and hiking.
Harvey Swisher, Assistant Scoutmaster
Harvey was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout, obtaining the rank of Second Class. Starting in 1995 he served as an Assistant Scoutmaster and Scoutmaster for Troop 115 before moving to Troop 114 as Assistant Scoutmaster. He is also a member of the Order of the Arrow. When the troop eats together, Harvey is a master of the Dutch oven! Harvey enjoys scouting, baseball, hunting and fishing.
Trish Kilcoyne, Committee Chairperson
Trish Kilcoyne has been involved in scouting for six years. She has been a Den leader with Pack 40 all six years with her two sons, Thomas and Daniel. She also served as the Secretary for Troop 114 for one year and is currently the Committee Chairperson. Trish is a teacher at Hawks Rise Elementary School and she teaches high schoolers at her church. She is the mother of three children. In her spare time, Trish enjoys reading camping and spending time with her family.
Mikki King, Treasurer
Mikki very active as a Girl Scout Troop leader as well as being our troop‘s treasurer. Mikki is a full-time CPA at a local accounting firm. She enjoys outdoor activities and is an avid runner. Mikki also has the well deserved reputation of being a great cook. She is always brings yummy cookies, other desserts and even main dishes to troop gatherings.
Marcia Friedman, Secretary
Marcia has been involved in Scouting since her son David was a Cub Scout in Virginia when her husband, Tom, was the Den Leader. She was the Committee Chair for one year for this Pack. She is employed as a Reference Librarian in Adult Services at the main library of the LeRoy Collins, Leon County Public Library. Marcia enjoys reading, gardening and traveling.
Rodney Register, Advancement Coordinator
Rodney has the coveted distinction of being one of our Scout parents who is also an Eagle Scout. He has been active in the Troop since his son Kendall joined. He has frequently served on boards of review and served as an adult leader at Wallwood. Rodney is also involved parent, with his wife Mary, in the Chiles High School Band Boosters. Helping with youth activities at this church also claims Rodney’s time. Rodney is a project manager for the City of Tallahassee and has been with the City for 28 years.
Maryann Jacques, Indoor Activities Coordinator
Maryann is the Indoor Coordinator for Troop 114, which means she will coordinate the potluck suppers for court of honors and special events as the need arises. She is the mother of four, two girls and two boys. Both of her sons are members of Troop 114. Her son Kevin recently attained Eagle. She has been active with Scouting since her children were young. Maryann is a stay-at-home mom, but she also assists her husband, Jeff, with their business, Ability Towing and Salvage Yard. She is very active in the Chiles Band Boosters and is currently the uniform coordinator. She enjoys sewing, gardening, volunteering and just being a mom!
Pam Tricquet, Historian
Pam has been involved in scouting since 1997 when her son, Christian Joined Hawks Rise Elementary’s first Cub Scout Pack as a Tiger Cub. She is married to Buddy, who is also active in the Troop. Pam has three older daughters and is employed at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital as an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Operating Room. She enjoys gardening, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
Merlin Russell, Charter Organization Representative
Merlin serves as the Chartered Organization Representative (COR). As a COR, Merlin serves as a liaison between Troop 114 and Christ Presbyterian Church. He is active member of the church and participates in many areas. Merlin began active participation as the COR in 1999 and currently serves as an elder (Class of 2012). Professionally, Merlin is back working in the Hazardous Waste Section at the Department of Environmental Protection. Prior to employment at FDEP, he was the Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist for six years at WRScompass. Prior to WRScompass employment, he worked at DEP as a professional geologist for 17 years. Merlin considers himself a naturalist and his interests include camping, astronomy, paleontology, gardening, writing poetry, cooking and genealogy.
